Case studies · Hijabjeez Official

Making a busy hijab store easier to search, trust and buy from

Hijabjeez sells hijabs, abayas, namaz chaddars and colour bundles across Pakistan, with hundreds of products in dozens of fabric collections. We rebuilt the Shopify storefront so shoppers can search from the header, reach customer service at a glance, confirm they're on the official store, and see how close their cart is to free shipping.

An established store with a very large catalogue

Hijabjeez already had a lot working: a reviews app showing feedback from more than 1,900 reviews, a returns promise, contact details in the footer, and colour bundles shoppers build themselves. The Crimps collection alone lists 58 products, and the main menu opens into well over a hundred links across fabrics, kids' wear, abayas and accessories.

With that much range, the opportunities were in finding things faster, nudging bundle buyers toward bigger orders, and making the store's own identity and support line impossible to miss.

What was getting in the shopper's way

  1. 01

A free-shipping offer the cart never mentioned

The announcement bar promoted free shipping above a set order value. But the cart drawer only showed an estimated total and a note that shipping is calculated at checkout.

A shopper just short of the threshold had no prompt to add one more hijab, and only found out about shipping costs at checkout.

  2. 02

The bundle's no-return rule was easy to miss

On the Crimps Bundle of 3 page, Add to cart was an outlined button with a solid brown Buy it now below it. A note saying bundles aren't returned or exchanged for colour differences sat in the description, below both buttons.

A shopper choosing three colours is likely to add the bundle and keep browsing. Finding the no-return rule after delivery is how complaints start.

  3. 03

Search was an icon, and support was in the footer

The header had a small search icon, a centered logo, and account and cart icons. The phone number only appeared in the footer.

In a catalogue this large, many shoppers would rather type “georgette niqab” than open nine menus. And anyone with a sizing or order question had to scroll to the bottom of the page to find a number.

  4. 04

Nothing to tell the official store apart from copies

The old homepage didn't mention fake sellers or list the brand's official social accounts.

Popular brands can attract look-alike pages on social media, and shoppers need a way to check they're buying from the real one.

Four targeted changes for an established store

All observations are from the desktop version of each theme.

  1. 01 · Cart drawer · Desktop · Fixes: offer never mentioned in the cart

A free-shipping progress bar in the cart

    Before

Item, chosen colours, special instructions, estimated total and Check out.

    After

A progress bar at the top of the drawer reading “Only Rs.1,400.00 away from Free Shipping,” then the item with its chosen colours, original and sale price, subtotal, total, CHECKOUT and VIEW CART.

    Why it works

A shopper who has just added a three-piece bundle sees exactly how much more gets them free delivery, while they're still on the site and can add another bundle or a few single hijabs.

  2. 02 · Product page · Desktop · Fixes: no-return rule easy to miss

Add to cart first, with the refund policy one tab away

    Before

An outlined Add to cart, a solid Buy it now, then the description with the bundle note at the end.

    After

A running subtotal above the colour picker, the chosen colours named beside “Choose any 3,” a solid black ADD TO CART with an outlined BUY IT NOW below it, and an availability line. Next to the description, a separate “Cancellation & Refund Policy” tab.

    Why it works

A shopper building a bundle sees the colours they picked named in plain text and can add it with the main button, then keep shopping toward free delivery. Anyone worried about colour matching can open the refund policy tab before ordering, instead of finding the rule after delivery.

  3. 03 · Every page, header · Desktop · Fixes: search an icon, support in the footer

A search bar and the customer service number in the header

    Before

A search icon on the left, the logo in the center, and account and cart icons. The phone number was in the footer only.

    After

A wide “Search the store” bar in the middle of the header, “Customer Service 0316-3721005” beside it, then Wish Lists and the cart with a count.

    Why it works

A shopper who knows they want a georgette hijab with a tube cap can type it on any page instead of opening the Hijab With Niqab Kit menu. Someone with a question about an order sees the support number without scrolling.

  4. 04 · Homepage and announcement bar · Desktop · Fixes: no way to tell real from fake

A clear signal that this is the official store

    Before

No mention of official channels or fake sellers.

    After

An announcement reading “Welcome to HIJABJEEZOFFICIAL Website, Beware of Fake Sellers,” and an “Official Hijabjeez Store” section under the banner, with a View Official Accounts button and links to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

    Why it works

A shopper who found Hijabjeez through a social post can confirm, right on the homepage, which accounts are real before paying.

What these changes are designed to improve

  • Bigger orders from shoppers close to the free-shipping amount.
  • Fewer post-delivery disputes about bundle colours and returns.
  • Faster product finding in a very large catalogue.
  • More confidence that shoppers are buying from the real brand.
